My sister Kelci and I are about as close as they come. We speak every day and I go to her almost daily for advice. She really is my best friend and has been for a long time now. You see, we are eight years apart. So it really wasn’t until about the time that she was seventeen and I was twenty-five when she became my closest friend and not just my little sister.
I am beyond proud to say she just graduated from college! It took a little while for her to get her footing (I think it runs in the family), but she did it and she graduated Summa Cum Laude, meaning she was at the top of her class. She has worked so hard to get where she is and I was literally giddy on her last day of class only imagining the emotions she was going through.
My parents and I are throwing her a graduation party this weekend in which, of course, I put myself in charge of decorating and setting everything up. I am beyond excited for it (and it gave me an excuse to finally get a Saturday off ha)! It really is the first time I’ve thrown a party where I get to do all the decorations, cook the food (well, like two appetizers), make all the desserts and, of course, put together an amazing alcoholic beverage (ahem). It’s all going down Saturday and I’ll be sure to take a lot of pictures so I can share the party on a post sometime next week.
The thing I’m most excited for is to see her face when she walks through the front door! That will be priceless. Love you little nugget!
(our 25th & 17th Birthday.. oh yeah, we share a birthday too)
