The weekend before last my sister, Kelci and I embarked on a short road trip in a minivan down to Key West for the weekend with four other girls for her bachelorette trip. Needless to say, we had a superb time. Plenty of mimosas were enjoyed as well as ‘Woo Girl’ moments (yeah, we were those girls).
We stayed in a super cute/swanky hotel right on Duval Street called The Pegasus. If you have never been to Key West, Duval Street is Key West’s equivalent to Bourbon Street of New Orleans.
As soon as we checked into the hotel, I kicked Kelci out and decorated the room with two of the girls with plenty of bachelorette style loot I ordered from Etsy.
When we let her back into the room, she was beyond words, ecstatic!
One of the girls had never been to Key West, so we did a few touristy things including Southernmost Pointe which is exactly as it reads, the most southern point of the US. Besides that we bar crawled, danced and even got Kelci up on stage at my favorite bar, Irish Kevin’s. They are known for getting bachelors and bachelorettes on stage and feeding them shots.
We had planned on doing a drag show on our last night but didn’t quite make it and ended up going to sleep early (haha). Key West can kick your ass after your first night if you are not careful. We had an excellent time, and it was a blast watching my sister have the time of her life.
