Good morning friends! I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. We pretty much had a 100% chance of rain forecast for the most part of the weekend, but it ended up not being so bad and this morning we are welcoming some 60-degree weather out (it’s finally fall, ha). We rented movies with the idea we’d be indoors Saturday night and all day Sunday. We did stay in Saturday, but yesterday we took the golf cart out to run errands around the neighborhood and visited with my parents for awhile.
Last night Hunters mom invited us over for a surprise birthday party for him. It was very nice for him to have his entire family there and he was beyond surprised. He has been very into bugs lately (he was even a centipede for Halloween) so she had gone with a complete bug theme. It was very cute and I enjoyed some delicious champagne bug juice myself.
We finally made it to Thanksgiving week and I’d like to hear an ‘AMEN’ for my 2-day work week which concludes with having 5 days off. AMEN! I plan on figuring out today what the hell we are making for a side dish for my parents Thanksgiving dinner. We need to do the grocery shopping ASAP because there is NO WAY I’ll be going later on this week.
Besides all my amazing days off, I am most looking forward to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, this cutest breakfast ever I plan on making (I had planned on doing this last year, but it didn’t quite work out since they were biscuits we had in the fridge, not cinnamon buns… my bad), dinner with my family, and Black Friday. Now, I have yet to venture out shopping on Black Friday (though we do plan on hitting up Best Buy after dinner Thursday night for a DSLR camera I’ve had my eyes on). For the last 5 years, I have always taken a drive down through the Florida Keys with my parents (Glenn works, boo) which I have talked about here before.
Next Monday also marks 1-year since we brought home our little Miss Savannah Blue. I brought up about maybe having another
birthday party for her to my husband. He wasn’t so keen on it. Oh well. She and I will find a way to celebrate somehow (I do have Mondays off). I hope everyone has a fabulous week!
