I confess… My husband and I are both pretty obsessed with our Chocolate Lab, Savannah Blue. She has been such a great addition and delight to our family. She spreads her love equally within the 3 of us, as well as with little Pretzel. She was my Christmas present from Glenn last year. Before we got her, I had told him over and over again just how wonderful labradors were (though I did leave out the shedding factor ha), but even with all the labs I grew up with I’d have to say, Savannah outshines them all and seems to be her daily goal to just keep us happy.
I confess… I am pretty stoked for Christmas! It’s a short 9 days away and I am pretty much done with all of my Christmas shopping (phew). The only thing different this year will be that my Grandma won’t be joining us. Every year for the holiday she flies down and spends Christmas with us, but over time, it has gotten too hard on her. Last year was our last Christmas together. We plan on taking a road trip up to our house in North Carolina next spring and with her living a 30-minute drive away, I know I will get to see her then.
I confess… This weekend is the annual Whispering Pines Golf Cart Christmas Parade in our area. There are 2 neighboring neighborhoods which allow golf carts free range of all the streets and every year they get together and have a huge Christmas parade. All of the cart’s are decked out beyond what you could imagine. Some I have even seen towing trailers with lit up Christmas trees surrounded by couches filled with people and coolers filled with beer (of course). Glenn has been spending this whole week getting our cart ready. We bought a new motor (to keep up with the traffic, he says) so it would be faster, but all of the parts were getting delivered over this week, the week of the parade, so it’s been a race against time to get it ready for Saturday.
I confess… Work has been absolutely nuts lately! Christmas time is always crazy for us at the salon and because of this, I have not been able to write as many posts as I would have liked to so for that, I apologize.
I Confess… I like to keep my blog sort of personal, where I write whatever is on my mind that day, experiences I am going through, or just how my weekend went and I know that doesn’t always make for a successful blog. Some readers want more ‘how to’s’, awesome recipe’s, or fashion tips, which I do write from time to time when there is something going on in my life that I have tried out and want to share. I just hope people enjoy my blog for what it is.
I confess… There is so much to look forward to next year. Glenn and I will be celebrating our first anniversary as a married couple come April and we plan on starting to look for our first house towards the beginning of the year. My sister is getting married, and both of my parents are officially retired and can really start enjoying their time together. The list goes on and on, but we can break that down for future posts.
I hope everyone is enjoying their last full week before Christmas and Happy Hump Day!
