Life has been pretty hectic, to say the least. I am busier now work-wise than I have ever been in the 10 years I have been working as a professional hair stylist. I have more clients today than I have ever had but I absolutely love it! I would never complain about it. I love what I do and I love my clients! Besides being super busy with work, I have started up my own businesses with an all natural haircare line, Monat (which is also the first anti-aging haircare line out there) and all natural cosmetic and skin care line, Younique. I spend a lot of my free time learning more about these companies and working toward widening my businesses. I have met so many amazing women working with both of these businesses and have learned so much including more about myself. I enjoy working hard towards my goals and learning all there is to the businesses. Since using these all natural products, I have actually gone through my bathroom at home and have trashed all of my other hair, skin, and cosmetic products. I recently downloaded the app, Think Dirty, and it blew my mind how much nastiness was in all of my everyday products. No more! Monat and Younique for life! I have even switched out my deodorants, soaps, and toothpaste.
Valentines Day came and went. Glenn had gotten me 25 gorgeous roses and we had prosecco and eggs benedict for breakfast. My lab, Savannah, had been sick to her stomach on and off throughout that week and I thought she was on the mend but she ended up getting really sick that afternoon and completely lost her appetite for dinner (very un ‘lab like’). She was up sick all night and I was beyond worried about her. It put a bit of a damper on our evening but the health of your babies (fur and not) comes first. The following morning she and I were at the vet just past 8 to find out what was going on. Long story short, we went home with meds and bland food and she has been much better ever since.
Glenn and I have plenty of places we want to go and things we want to do this year while it’s just us. Next being Bush Gardens, which we have planned for a weekend next month. I have never been to Bush Gardens but Glenn has been dying to get back on all those roller coasters. I have an Aunt and Uncle who live in Tampa who also live just down the street from a few breweries including Cigar City. We are going to make a weekend of it and hit up the park and visit some great breweries. Something else to check off of our list for the year.
Well, today being that it is Friday I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. We’re experiencing a bit of a cool front this weekend so we are planning on taking advantage and doing a little bonfire tonight. It’s almost March so our fires are numbered now and falling fewer in between.
