I know, I know… I have been Little Miss M.I.A. Have you ever had one of those weeks where you feel like doing absolutely nothing?? Well, that was me last week (thank you female hormones). Furthermore, the week after the holidays at the salon is usually the slowest week of the year. So slow in fact that it is usually the week to take off if you want to take a week long vacay. I have taken the first week of January off a many of times. Not this time. Last week’s work week was crazy for me! It might as well been a holiday week. By Saturday night, I was completely exhausted and asleep on the couch by 9 pm. So needless to say, life’s been busy.
I have always had a thing with hair (obviously) and makeup. My parents have a funny story they like to tell where when I was very young, maybe 5 or 6, we were on our way to a restaurant for dinner and I was sitting in the backseat with my little purse filled with my ‘kiddy’ makeup. By the time we arrived at the restaurant, they turned around and I had a complete face of makeup on. I was ready for dinner! I got involved with the MONAT hair care line 5 weeks ago and have been beyond impressed and blown away by the outcome and complete turn around my hair has been going through. Besides a complete 1 inch of growth by week 4, my hair has been more manageable, super shiny, and free of any existing or new split ends. I have turned many of my clients on to Monat and have been receiving rave reviews on the product line. A full review to come soon but in the meantime, you can read a great post I wrote on the products here. This is the first time I have ever used all natural products, free of chemicals and completely organic. I have been so happy with how my hair has been doing and changing since I started using Monat, I wanted to find natural products for my face as well. I started searching online and reading reviews and came across, Younique. Younique is a cosmetic and skin care line that uses natural and high-quality ingredients that enrich and nourish the skin. I signed up with the company so I could share their amazing products with my friends and clients. You can check out and shop for their products here. My presenter kit will be delivered later this week and I’m super excited to learn more about this amazing cosmetic company so I can share all I learn with you!
Last week was the season premiere of the new Bachelor. I have never watched The Bachelor or The Bachelorette before, but half of the bloggers and ig users I follow do. I just kept hearing about the show over and over again so I decided to DVR last week’s premiere episode and catch it one morning after Glenn had gone to work. Hooked! What a fun show! I will definitely be keeping up with this show and do recaps as the season continues. Right now, my favorite girl is Olivia and Lace makes me laugh with all her dramatics and ridiculous ways (at least in the first episode…ahem, too much wine for that one). It is currently Monday as I write this and we are having my parents over for dinner tonight and to light our Christmas trees up in the backyard for a little bonfire (hello 60-degree weather!), so I will be DVR’ing tonights episode to watch tomorrow morning before I hear any spoilers. Pretty Little Liars returns tonight as well (Tuesday)!! Ahhhh… television excitement overload! Also, I am currently catching up on season 3 of The Following on Netflix which was just released last week. I am trying to get through this because I would really like to start watching the Netflix original series, Making A Murderer. How am I ever going to read all these books I told myself I would read with all of this going on??
We bought our Disney tickets yesterday. The 3 of us will be on our way up to see Mickey the beginning of February! Now I just have to find and book a hotel. We are talking about maybe going up to Tampa soon to check out Bush Gardens. I have never been nor have I ever been on a roller coaster. Yeah, I know… ‘How though?’, you might ask. Well, I have only been to Disney parks and no, Space Mountain is not counted as a roller coaster in my book and there was no way I was ever going on the Double Looper, the only roller coaster that came along with our local fair that would visit our city every year. They don’t even have that ride anymore (enough said). I love the ‘free falling’ feeling but we will just have to wait and see how roller coasters and I get along.
Ok well, I feel as though I have babbled along enough now. Hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday!
